Because of what's been happening all over the world, most people have the misconception that the Muslims are behind it and that Muslims are terrorists, but they aren't. Muslims aren't terrorists but are simply, Muslims. The thought that they would harm you should be removed and start trusting them.
Recently, a Facebook user named Yan Mercado had posted a heartbreaking, touching and at the same time, an eye-opening story on his social media account, revealing everything that the Muslim grab driver has been experiencing just because he is a Muslim.
In his post, he admitted that at first, he was afraid to continue the Grab ride that he booked but still, he chose to continue and inform a friend about the risk of what he did.
During the ride, they were having a conversation wherein Yan admitted that he was on the lookout and was on a red alert just in case the driver does something insane which he would suspect as a modus.
But when they arrived at La Salle, he saw that the driver suddenly frowned. And it turns out that a passenger had just cancelled a booking. Yan narrated:
At this point, he felt guilty and admitted that he also felt scared when he first saw the Muslim-sounding name of the driver. Surprisingly, despite his negative thoughts about him, the driver still showed him nothing but kindness.
Out of guilt, Yan said: “Ang dami kong inisip na masama tungkol sa kanya pero puro kabaitan ang ipinakita niya, grabe sobrang sama ng pumasok sa utak ko, hindi ko pa man siya nakikilala tinanggalan ko na agad siya ng karangalan dahil lang sa pangalan na meron siya.”
He then advised the readers of his post not to be like him and stop judging everyone.
