Tony Calvento demands for a personal apology from Vice Ganda or he'd file charges against him for his offensive advice!


On Saturday, August 12, Vice Ganda apologized to the journalist, Tony Calvento after he was offended by the advice that Vice gave t a Tawag ng Tanghalan contestant. The apology letter was read by Vice's co-host Billy Crawford since Vice already flew to South Korea for a concert.



The apology letter reads:

“Ang tanging intensyon ko ay magbigay-payo sa aming contestant na magtiwala sa sarili at sa kanyang kakayahan.

“Again, my sincerest apologies to Tony Calvento.
“Malaki po ang respeto ko sa inyo bilang isang journalist, kaibigan, at kapamilya.

“Sincerely, Vice Ganda.”

However, after the apology, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) revealed that Tony Calvento hasn't accepted Vice's apology yet and he's still waiting for Vice's personal apology on air this Wednesday.


“He said he will personally apologize on air sa Wednesday. I will wait first,” He said in an interview

Tony Calvento then stated that if he fails to give his demands, he'd be force to file charges against him and the noontime show on ABS-CBN.

“Yesterday, after using my name in an insulting manner, I threatened to sue the whole Showtime in a civil case and Vice Ganda in a criminal case. Vice called me up and I demanded a public apology to put him in his proper place. Just because you’re a famous host, you can make fun of anyone,” Tony Calvento said

How did this controversy start?












On August 11, Vice Ganda gave the semi-finalist of TNT John Mark an advice about his appearance where he tagged the name of Tony Calvento.
